Pre-trip circle checks that reach the office the same morning
Before the truck rolls, the driver runs the assigned template in field mode. Pass/fail items, timestamp, and submitter attach to the vehicle. If something fails, admins can get an email, not a conversation at 4 PM.
Morning workflow in four steps
1. Admin assigns an inspection template to each van or truck under Settings. 2. Driver opens field mode, sees their assigned vehicle, and starts the circle check. 3. Failed items are recorded; configured admins receive email. 4. History lives on the vehicle inspections tab for the office and fleet manager.
Weak signal at the yard? The inspection queues offline and syncs when LTE returns, same as fuel logs and damage reports.
Real shop scenario
Brake light out before a highway job
A construction pickup fails a marker light during a 6:30 AM circle check. On paper, the driver might roll anyway because the form is not enforced.
The failure is on the truck record and in the admin inbox. The shop swaps vehicles before a crew heads out with a loaded trailer, with a timestamp if questions come up later.
