Email alerts when the field sends something that needs eyes

The office should not learn about a failed brake light from a driver at clock-out. CrewCommand emails configured admins when inspections fail, damage is reported, transfers are requested, or maintenance is due in the daily digest, 6:00 AM in your company timezone.

What email notifications do today

Under Settings → Notifications, admins choose which events send email and who receives them. Email is live for failed circle checks, new damage reports, inventory transfer requests, and the daily maintenance digest.

Push notifications appear in settings but are not enabled yet. We are honest about scope: email alerts work today; mobile push is on the roadmap.

Failed marker light at 6:45 AM | office knows before the truck leaves

A plumbing van fails a marker light during a pre-trip circle check. On paper, nobody in the office sees it until end of day. In a group text, the photo gets buried under job updates.

CrewCommand records the failure on the vehicle, and configured admins receive an email the same morning. The shop can swap vans or schedule a fix before a long sewer run, with a timestamp on the inspection record.

How shops configure alerts

Per-event toggles

Turn on failed inspections, damage, transfers, and digest independently.

Recipient control

Admins choose who gets which emails, owner, fleet manager, office admin.

Push | planned

Settings show push options for a future release; email is the live channel today.

Questions about this workflow

Are push notifications available?
Not yet. Push notification options appear in Settings but are not enabled. Email alerts for failed inspections, damage reports, transfer requests, and the maintenance digest are live today.
What time is the maintenance digest sent?
The daily maintenance digest is sent at 6:00 AM in your company timezone, configured under Settings → Company.
Can I choose who receives each type of alert?
Yes. Under Settings → Notifications, admins enable or disable each event type and control which users receive emails for failed inspections, damage, transfers, and the digest.
Do failed circle checks always email someone?
Only when you enable failed-inspection emails and assign recipients. If email is off, failures still appear on the vehicle inspection history in admin.

Turn on alerts for failed circle checks first

Most shops start with inspection failures and the maintenance digest, then add damage and transfer alerts.
